“Music, to me, is one of the most influential things on Earth,” asserts SO. It is a tool of the utmost power, and, like any tool, requires a skilled technician to operate it properly. In musical terms, this means that SO is among the elite, a prime purveyor of R&B that hits the heart exactly the way this classic yet ever-evolving genre is supposed to. SO’s ear is a cultured one. His artistry is well-rounded and his musical awareness several notches above that of the average musician. His music lies not in any one stream of R&B style; rather, his works embrace a multiplicity of flavors, making for eclectic and profound songwriting that never fails to assert total domination over a listener's attention. “I think my music is a balance. You can give it a lot of titles and place it in many categories,” SO says. “It can be soulful, commercial, sexual, pop-ish, etc.”



Every Aspect



Every aspect of life has proven to offer inspiration for SO’s marvelous music. SO's songwriting draws heavily from each and every corner of his existence. “Because of where I was born, raised, how I was raised and where, I am who I am and more,” he explains. “I find most of my inspiration, drive, dedication and discipline from within, my family, friends, fans, foes and from my religious background.” Spirituality, relationships both good and bad, music culture – all of it adds up to a huge pool of influences for an already inspired artist whose shining artistic personality flows out from his songs in heady waves.



The Artist at Work



This 22-year-old has risen above cultural challenges (he represents the convergence of Korean and black heritage) and has already, at his young age, proven himself an accomplished producer, songwriter, dancer and singer. He can play just about an instrument set in front of him and has shared the stage with John B, Trina, T. Pain and others. Heavy touring is being planned for the near future and recording work occurs at every opportunity. SO's music is set – via CD and live performance – to make a deep impact and leave a lasting impression on the R&B community and beyond. SO is currently working with A&R Select, the leading indie A&R firm in Hollywood, CA.
